The Foundations Course is a 1 month introductory course. It is on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6pm. We require everyone to go through this course (unless you have prior experience with CrossFit). The purpose for this course is to teach the methods and methodologies of CrossFit in a smaller group setting. After this course, you will feel more confident stepping into our CrossFit class with an understanding of common terminology, movement standards, a stronger grasp on proper nutrition, and more.
Each class includes a warm-up discussing different methods of stretching, mobility, stability, and self myofascial release. We then focus on one of the foundational movements of CrossFit, break them down, and practice them. Then the athletes go through a standard WOD. Afterwards, the class is finished with a handout and a discussion on nutrition.
